Google has added one more application to its line, Google Calculator APK 7.1.1 (3300836). As shown from its name, it is a mobile calculator for Android phones. There are many other calculator Android apps in Google Play Store, but this app is trying to be different. Google has made the design as simple as possible with few buttons appearing in the same time on your screen. The color combination is also simple with the combination of white background for the formula, black for the buttons, and green for advanced functions. The design is really minimalist and this is not surprising as it is what Google has been trying to do with the newest Android marshmallow and all other Google apps. It is believed that simple design and interface will create a better user experience when using software.

The advantage of this application is its ability to do complex calculations as well such as exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions. However, these abilities also exist in many other calculation applications. The Google Calculator is also able to support multi-window tasking, so you don’t have to go back and forth calculating something that appears on your browser and calculator app. This capability can be very useful to people who count a lot on their phones and saves a lot of time.

Digit grouping for large numbers with a lot of digits is also supported, so you can calculate large numbers with ease. However, some key features are missing, such as the history feature. Calculation history is really important if you want to re-input it into other calculations. Although Google has done well with this app design, the minimalism effort also backfires.
